Kama Dersham is the founder of KamaHomes. Over her career, she wore more hats than most people own: Creative Director, Lead Listing Specialist, Negotiator, Community Builder—and, when the day called for it, Head Pot Scrubber on dish duty.

The name Kama comes from the Sanskrit word for love, a fitting foundation for someone who has built a career around helping people find homes they love. Ranked among the top 5% of Realtors nationwide, Kama spent more than 30 years serving thousands of clients. That kind of success didn’t come from simply staying in the business; it came from consistently putting clients first, offering honest advice, expert guidance, and fierce advocacy on their behalf every step of the way.

And the cowboy boots? She earned those, too.

Kama has logged thousands of hours and countless miles in the saddle. She started riding horses at just three years old, with a memorable tumble into the dirt that taught her her very first life lesson: get back up and get back on.

That lesson has shaped every chapter of her life. Through five decades with horses, four decades of marriage, and three decades in real estate, she learned that resilience is the foundation of lasting success.

Her philosophy is beautifully simple: success isn’t about never falling. Whether it’s off a horse, a bike, the wagon, or the path you thought you were on, everyone gets knocked down sometimes. What matters is choosing to get back up—one more time than you fell.

Though Kama has now retired as an active agent and as the Principal Broker of KamaHomes, she imbued us with the spirit and philosophy that we bring to every client, every negotiation, and every home we help people find.
